History

The school started holding classes at Juying Primary School on 4 January 1999 with 7 Primary One classes. It moved to its present premises on 28 June 1999. It was officially opened on 6 April 2002 by Mr Cedric Foo, Minister of State for Defence and Member of Parliament for West Coast GRC, Pioneer Division.

PAL (Programme for Active Learning)

The school is one of the 12 chosen schools in Singapore to participate in the piloted PAL Project. Under this programme, our Primary 1 and 2 students will be put through a modular programme which allows them experiential learning in 4 aspects- Outdoor Education, Performing Arts (Music and Dance), Visual Arts and Sports and Games

The school is working very closely with the Ministry to make sure that learning for the Primary 1 and 2 children will take on a completely new facet, in addition to pen and paper assessment. In fact, Alternative Assessment will be taking on a more pervasive role in our assessment modes across all levels to give every child a more holistic assessment in the different aspects of his/her development.

The School Building and Facilities Upgrading

As the school moves towards being single session, renovation works will have to be expected for the next 2 years to come (2011–2012). Extension of the classroom blocks and new facilities will also be added. The school will not be moving to a temporary site during this period but they will take specific measures to ensure that lessons will not be disrupted duly.
